Author's Description

You think you know the story of Snow White and the Evil Queen but you have it all wrong. Step mother wasn't the villain. Tragedy strikes. Death. Destruction. Chaos. Curses. Magic. Follow Evie White, stepmother to the famous Snow, as she risks her life to save her beloved Snow's soul from the Underworld. All while Snow's reanimated body brings death and destruction upon their kingdom. Evie is determined to save everyone or die trying. Snow White meets mythology retelling.

Why I Chose it

This has an interesting mix of a fairy tale esthetic, until suddenly it becomes a vampire story, and I am here for it!

Unrelated Griping

My advice to the beginning Vella author: Get rid of your prologue.

Don't leave it in and call it something else. Don't put all the info in an infodump in the first episode. Just get rid of it.

You have three paragraphs, max, to hook the serial reader's interest, and if you put seven dates, three fantasy kingdoms, and a war spanning seven hundred years in those three paragraphs and haven't introduced one of your main characters, you've lost me.

If that information is crucial to your story, sprinkle it through the rest of the story. Otherwise nobody will get beyond the first episode.
